History

In 1946 Murnard and Florence England, who owned a funeral home in Eugene, purchased the Schwering Funeral Home in Creswell. They sold both of their businesses in 1979 to a regional chain of funeral homes and cemeteries. That company was sold to a large multi-national corporation in 1995. The funeral home returned to local ownership in 2005 when it was purchased by the Musgrove family of Eugene. Since 1981 Glenn Knox and his wife Diana (Chapman) Knox, a Creswell native, have managed the Creswell chapel.
